About groupable|connect

Groupable|connect is Groupable's next generation member portal that is replacing Our Lodge Page (OLP). Now you can use all of Groupable's services using one username and password. Groupable|connect includes the most used features from OLP, such as

  • Calendars,
  • Posts,
  • Public facing web pages,
  • Photo galleries,
  • Online dues payments,
  • and more.

Additionally groupable|connect includes improved communications and privacy setting that we will be rolling out through the whole suite of groupable services over the next few months. You will control who can see your information and who you want to receive communications from.

Where is our OLP data?

As part of the migration of OLP to groupable|connect we have migrated all of your organization's data excluding real time instant messages. So, all of your calendar events, news posts, files, and photos are already loaded into groupable|connect.

Who is Groupable?

For many years Groupable was known as Enable Labs and offered the MORI member management system and Our Lodge Page (OLP) member portal. In 2020 we re-branded to Groupable and officially launched our next generation member manager groupable|m2. Since then we've been very busy rolling out a great deal of new functionality in groupable|m2, and preparing the road to merge OLP into the main suite of groupable services. Today with the migration of your service to groupable|connect you can start enjoying the benefits of being on an integrated system with one username and password, and real-time syncing of information. (No more waiting for daily data syncs between m2 and OLP.)

Why is this happening?

Originally Our Lodge Page as built as a member portal that was separate from the legacy MORI membership management system. Since Groupable has replaced the legacy MORI system with the groupable|m2 member management system we have always intended to combine the best of OLP with m2 to create one unified system for our users to streamline their user experience.

What about the OLP mobile app for iOS and Android?

Support for the OLP native mobile app for iOS and Android are being discontinued with this migration to groupable|connect. Groupable|connect has been designed for mobile usage from the ground up. Additionally over the next year we will be adding progressive web-app support to groupable|connect, which will further enhance the mobile experience.

Although some may view the lack of a native app as an issue we can assure you that there are many reasons to welcome the move to a progressive web application. In recent years both Apple and Google have made it more and more difficult to comply with their app store policies. Recently Apple has forced Patreon to use in-app purchases for members to support creators through their native application ( Press Release ) with 30% of all payments done through the Patreon app going to Apple.

We foresee a day when Apple or Google may attempt to force dues payments from our members to go through their in-app payment systems if we continued to use a native application distributed through their app stores. Therefore we have taken the opportunity of migrating from OLP to groupable|connect to move to a purely web-based system where neither Apple nor Google can force lodges, chapters, and groups to be forced into an untenable situation if they want to collect dues or take payments from members on mobile devices.
